Creative Proposals
Check out these super-creative proposal concepts.
Involving Strangers
1. Arrange a surprise proposal with a street caricaturist. Have the caricaturist sketch a picture of the two of you with word bubbles that say, “Will you marry me?” and “Yes!”
2. Plan a romantic destination getaway for two. When you’re on the plane, use the loudspeaker system (of course, run your plan by the flight attendants first) and propose at 35,000 feet.
3. Hire a flash mob to help suprise your sweetheart. If you haven’t seen one of these, here’s a good one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uiAg-cHJvI
Involving Friends / Family
4. Arrange for several of your friends to be sitting on a park bench at a certain time, reading newspapers. As the two of you walk by, they hold up the papers (covering their faces) with the proposal written on the back of the papers.
5. Bring your sweetheart to a fake surprise party for someone else. As she is waiting for the guest of honor to arrive, drop to one knee in front of all your friends and relatives.
6. Throw a Halloween jack-o-lantern carving contest for friends and family where everyone reveals their designs. Wait to unveil your pumpkin carved with your proposal, last.
7.Have a friend hide nearby and fly a drone to you as the two of you are walking in the park. Taped to the drone is the ring.
Creative Planning
8. Spell your proposal out in glow-in-the-dark star stickers on your ceiling. Get into bed, turn the lights off and wait for the gasp.
9. Order a custom fortune cookie in advance, then swap it after dinner.
10. Upload a video with your proposal then call her over to your computer to show her the “hysterical video she must see”.
